Buhari to adopt use of technology in fight against corruption

*The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has faced serious criticisms for engaging more in media war against corruption
 * Babachir Lawal, secretary to the government of the federation, has revealed government’s new strategy, but this was first used by former President Jonathan There are indications that President Muhammdu Buhari may have agreed to adopt the use of technology in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

The EFCC is investigating a fresh fraud case against the speaker of Benue state

There have been complaints from analysts that the current administration had so far carried out media war against alleged corrupt elements in the country instead of ensuring effective prosecution of suspects.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has also severally been slammed for not conducting proper investigations before arresting suspects. In many cases, the anti-graft agency arrests alleged corrupt officials before even concluding their investigations. While Goodluck Jonathan presided over the affairs of the country, he often maintained that he was using technology in his anti-corruption fight as Nigerians and the All Progressives Congress (APC) continued to criticise his government.
