Nigerians React To PMB's Media Chat

President Muhammadu Buhari hosted his first presidential media chat on December 30, fielding questions about some of the key issues in the country from the whereabouts of the Chibok girls, the Nigerian Army-Shiites clash and pressure to devalue the naira.

Buhari, who won April elections after campaigning on an anti-corruption ticket, outlined progress made by his government in a two-hour “media chat” with three journalists broadcast live on state television.

The presidential media chat has remained a main platform through which every past Nigerian president, beginning with the return of democracy in 1999, has kept Nigerians up-to-date of government’s activities.
